Rise Up Program for Young Adults
Too many young adults live in parts of the world that are war-torn, traditional regions of religious or political conflict, and/or in areas that are economically underserved (‘fragile areas”). They live in fear and poverty with little access to hope and opportunity. We want to help change that.

We want to give young adults an opportunity to escape their fragile areas, if even for a brief time, and provide them with a two-week program experience in Rome. During this program they will learn practical innovation skills offering economic hope and opportunity through our human-centric A.I. economy “Carmel City”, named after Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and they will be immersed in and experience first-hand the truth and beauty of our faith.

Welcome to our Rise Up program for Young Adults
Commencing in 2026, we plan on hosting up to 100 young adults from various fragile areas around the world. We are working with Bishops from these fragile areas to identify qualified English-speaking young adults aged 20 to 30 years for application to participate in our Rise Up Program.

Why is this important?
Pope John Paul II stated in his Message for Lent, 1987: “…Poverty results from mechanisms that exclude whole groups and nations from access to development.”
Few knew more than Pope John Paul II did personally about poverty and exclusion. He knew all too well that many of the world’s people live in poverty because of barriers that are often imposed directly by governments, influenced by religious differences, and the result of underdeveloped economies and infrastructure. Carmel City was built as a beacon of hope and opportunity for everyone to participate as engaged citizens in an inclusive economy free from barriers.

How the Two-Week Experience is Structured
WEEK ONE:
This will consist of an intense, hands-on training economic program: “Converting Entrepreneurial Thinking into Economic Opportunity in Carmel City”.
Carmel City was designed to cultivate and promote human innovation. The incubation process for innovation within Carmel City is based on the Socratic method for questioning and reasoning and grounded in the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. Participants will be trained on how to create authentic and utility-based assets for monetization through a personal “Innovation Studio”, which they will own exclusively. This innovation and monetization can be done from anywhere in the world where access to the internet is available.

WEEK TWO:
This will include a week-long participation and immersion in the truth and beauty of our faith hosted by Truth & Beauty Project (TBP), our sister organization. Through their TBP immersion these young adults will learn about our faith and how it inspires love, compassion and empathy in others to help those less fortunate with dignity and grace. They will also be immersed in the richness of our Christian history and arts, and experience the many splendors of local Roman culture.
